Pnoy delivers his 6th SONA

President Benigno "Pnoy" Aquino III delivers his 6th and final State of the Nation Address last Monday, July 27 at Batasan Pambansa in Quezon City to report all the accomplishments that his administration achieved for the past years of his leadership.

"My bosses, this is the story of our journey along the straight path," Aquino said as the opening of his speech, he also recalled all the issues that his predecessor left to him that his administration had to resolve. 

Aquino boasts all his administrations achievements in fighting corruption with his “Daang Matuwid” campaign. He again imposed in his speech that “Kung Walang Corrupt, Walang Mahirap”. He also showed the economic boom that our country has achieved. 

He commended the dedication of Commissioner Kim Henares on thorough investigation of tax evaders in the country. 380 cases of tax evasion have all been filed and the collection went up to 1.3 trillion.

Unemployment rate dropped to 6.8% last year. The lowest in a decade. 
Pnoy also insists that having a 10-year educational program is not enough and should not be crammed. The government proposed budget for 2016 is P103.2 million for the textbooks and P4.4 million for the chairs.

'Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program' now consists of 4.4 million beneficiaries from 786,523 in 2010.

Regarding with the still unresolved problem with the rail system, MRT, Aquino said plans of purchasing new coaches is still push through as well as the upgrade of facilities. 

PNoy wish to pass the Bangsamoro Basic Law by the Current Congress. When the president said, "Panahon na para ipasa ang isang Anti-Dynasty Law." The crowd erupts with cheers. 

He praised Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas. "Mar, pinatutunayan mo: You can't put a good man down." And added that the next administration should continue the righteous path. 

President Aquino receives 146 applauds from the lawmakers and guests. This 6th and final SONA has been the longest the runs 2 hours and 15 minutes that started at exactly 4:00 in the afternoon.
